The Marvel Studios has officially announces the schedule of Captain America: The First Avenger sequel via his Twitter account, which is set to be released in theaters starting April 4, 2014. Based on the news reported from Aceshowbiz, the sequel is rumored to be taking story after the events of The Avengers.
In The Avengers film, Captain America figure described as a soldier named Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) who turn into super soldiers from chemical experiments. At the end of his adventures, Captain America is known has been asleep for nearly seven decades and woke up again after the new head of SHIELD troops named Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) discover him.
Marvels Studios states, in the Captain America sequel Steve Rogers will work together with Nick Fury again in more modern era. In other words, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Furry will appear again in the sequel, and he will have bigger portion than the first movie.
Until now, it is still uncertain who will be the director for this movie. However, reportedly several names such as Anthony and Joseph Russo (Community), George Nolfi (The Adjusmet Bureau), and F. Gary Gray (The Italian Job), are strong candidates to fill the director's chair.
