On the first night broadcast (midnight show) in America, The Hunger Games immediately scored a box office record as the greatest revenue from midnight show on the first day all the time. The Hunger Games managed to get $ 19.7 million that currently airing in over 2500 theaters.
The film even beat the record of The Dark Knight and the Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith who collected $ 17 million in their first midnight show. But The Hunger Games still can not beat the record of Harry Potter and Twilight Saga records.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 still holds first position as the highest box office record holder in the first day with $ 43.5 million. Followed by three final series Twilight Saga that collect $ 26 million-$ 30 million.
