Good news for all fans of Star Trek. Sequel to J.J. Abrams version of Star Trek had entered pre production stage. The plan, the process of filming began in January 2011.
This was confirmed by actor Bruce Greenwood, actor who play as Captain Pike in the movie. Unfortunately, he was reluctant to provide more information about Star Trek 2.
"I just know if the film will begin shooting in January. The rest, I do not know," he said as quoted by Contact Music, Wednesday (07/21/2010). Earlier, actor Chris Pine has been confirmed to play again as Captain Kirk in the movie. So too, with actor Zachary Quinto.
For his 12th film of the Star Trek series, the director, JJ Abrams will follow James Cameron path. The director who is the successful director of Mission: Impossible 3 plan to use 3D technology on this movie. The film is scheduled to begin playing in theaters on June 29, 2012.
