Legend of The Fist : The Return of Chen Zhen - Fist of Fury Ressurection

Currently action actor Donnie Yen seemed to be the most popular martial arts star who still active starring in action movie. After 14 Blades, now Donnie Yen will star in a new martial arts film titled Fist of Fury: The Legend of Chen Zhen.

From the title all of you might already guess, the name of Chen Zhen is the name of best student of the famous kung fu master Hua Yuan Jia. Chen Zhen character was played by two actors in two different films several years ago, namely the late Bruce Lee in Fist of Fury (1971) and Jet Li in Fist of Legend (1994). In 1995, Donnie Yen Chen has also been playing as Chen Zhen in the TV series, Fist of Fury.


Narrated Chen Zhen who had just returned from Japan to find his teacher, Hua Yuan Jia died after a battle with the Japanese. Chen Zhen sure that their teacher is poisoned by the Japanese. Because of that, Chen Zhen decides to takes revenge. Chen Zhen managed to beat all the Japanese fighters and make their instituion devastated. Chen Zhen's name is a legendary figure from Ching Wu martial art school who fought against Japanese occupation in China.

If you've ever watched Fearless, starring Jet Li as Hua Yuan Jia, that will be more interesting. Because we'll know more background information about the famous kungfu master's life in those days and you'll know more the reasons why Chen Zhen avenge his teacher.

The Legend of Chen Zen will be starring Donnie Yen, Anthony Wong and Shu Qi. The film is produced by Gordon Chan will be directed by Andrew Lau (Young and Dangerous series). The film planned will be released in 2010 by Media Asia Films.
